December can feel lonely when you are treatment and away from family. Therefore it is important to meet our sisters and brothers where they are on their journey. A group of volunteers met the first three Sundays in December with 12 guests at the Glory House. Linda, a retired art teacher guided us through the process with sketch pads, canvas and paint and then let us fly with our creations. Keith, provided delicious goodies and made sure our coffee cup never went empty. Kari and Darin enjoyed sitting at the table meeting new people.
Testimonial from the guest: It is something fun to look forward to on the weekends as well as a new outlet in my recovery.
Testimonial from the guest: Allowing myself to open up and be open minded.
Testimonial from the instructor: The enthusiasm of the guests made my experience a very positive one.
